On February 28, the deputies of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Lilit Stepanyan, Alkhas Ghazaryan and Vilen Gabrielyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

The deputies laid flowers at the cross stone perpetuating the memory of the victims of Sumgait massacres (pogroms), honoured their memory.

“The Armenian-Azerbaijani bloody page began in fact with Sumgait cases, which has already been 35 years that continues. On time the genocidal actions of Sumgait, Baku, Gandzak were not properly assessed and reacted by the international community, which also became the reason of the forcible displacement of people from Nagorno Karabakh,” Vilen Gabrielyan said.

Lilit Stepanyan touched upon the officially published fake figures of the victims of Sumgait massacres, spoke about anti-Armenian policy of Baku authorities during that period.
