On April 19, in Saint Petersburg the meetings of the CSTO PA Permanent Commissions on Political Issues and International Cooperation, on Defense and Security Issues, on Social Policy and Human Rights, on Economy and Finance and on Legal Issues, as well as the Expertise-Advisory Council adjunct to CSTO PA Council, where the RA NA deputy, the Chairman of the CSTO PA Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation Khosrov Harutyunyan and the RA NA Permanent Representative to IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan.

The meeting of the Expertise-Advisory Council adjunct to CSTO PA Council preceded the meetings of the Permanent Commissions, where Khosrov Harutyunyan took part. 18 items were discussed at the meeting. Mr Harutyunyan presented his considerations on some items, which had been passed and it was proposed to revise the model bills submitted for debate based on that. Let us note that some agenda items will be submitted during the meetings of the CSTO PA Permanent Commissions.

On April 20, the meetings of the CSTO PA Permanent Commissions on Political Issues and International Cooperation, on Defense and Security Issues, on Social Policy and Human Rights, on Economy and Finance and on Legal Issues were held.

The Committee Chairman Khosrov Harutyunyan moderated the meeting of the Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation. Welcoming his colleagues, first of all, Mr Harutyunyan congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the CSTO and CSTO PA jubilees and wished them fruitful joint work. Numerous items have been included in the agenda of the meeting, including the directions of the upcoming activities of the Commission, including the activities of the Commission in the second half of 2017 – the visiting meeting to be held in Armenia and the preparation and the terms of the agenda of the parliamentary hearings on Effective Countering of the Collective Security System in Hybrid Warfare Nowadays. During the meeting the draft decision on Providing Status of Observer adjunct to CSTO PA, on which the Armenian side presented some amendments, which had been passed with certain editions.

Other model draft laws were also included in the agenda of the meeting.

The RA NA Permanent Representative to IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan took part in the meetings CSTO PA Permanent Commissions on Political Issues and International Cooperation, on Defense and Security Issues, on Social Policy and Human Rights, on Economy and Finance and on Legal Issues.
